Sad Story Children of Gaza in First Day of School

Hundreds of children in Gaza, Palestine, began to return to school on Sunday (14/09/2014). They returned to school after a three-week delay due to the conflict in Gaza between Israeli forces and Hamas that killed more than 2,140 people died.

From the number of these victims, 70 percent are Palestinian civilians. On the first day of school, the children are invited to tell about their experience before returning to school.

One of them is Azhar (9). Tamer Jundiyeh daughters of this writing poems in memory of his late father who died in an air strike in the Israeli army Sheijaya.

"Dad, what more can I say. Saying how much I love you, will not be enough (make life)," said Azhar in the classroom which was witnessed by his friends.

"Today is my first day of school. So even though my father died as a martyr, that's okay. I'm happy," said Azhar to continue his poetry.

As a result of the conflict, along with five younger brother Azhar has now become an orphan. Azhar friend who also had a similar experience, Isra, shudder with fear as he told of the attack Israeli soldiers who killed his grandfather and aunt. He recalled the unfortunate event that happened was witnessed by him.

"My grandfather and aunt were killed Layla. I see for yourself in our house," said Isra.

Other pupils, Prayer, have lost the tools to her school due to his house which was destroyed during the conflict. One of them is uniform. As a result, only wearing regular clothes Prayer in the first day of school.

"We went at our house would be bombed, when we returned home, it was destroyed," said the prayer.

During 50 days of conflict, there are 24 schools that were destroyed in Gaza. Now teachers and principals who teach there also seeks to children traumatized by the war badly to recover.

"We listened to their experiences during the holidays (summer) ago. Some of the stories made us laugh, some make us cry. Now we try as much as possible so the children can talk as much as they can," said Rima Abu Khatla, a teacher from Azhar ,

UN data states, the conflict between Israel and Palestine, which began July 8 is the worst since 2005, in which the Israeli army to withdraw all its troops. Child victims who died in this conflict more than 500 children.
